Steak Salad

Ingredients:

2 steaks (Salt + Peppered)

3-4 cups Iceberg Lettuce, thinly sliced

1 Tomato, diced

½ Capsicum, diced

½ Cucumber, diced

¼ Red onion, finely diced

1 Avocado, diced

½ Apple, diced

¼ cup Cashews, roughly diced

½ - 1 cup Crispy Noodles

2 Soft Boiled Egg

2 tbsp Chives/Spring Onion, diced

Dressing:

1/4 of a cup Neutral Oil

1 tbsp Sesame Oil

1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar

2 tsp Lemon Juice

1/2 tsp Minced Garlic

1/4 tsp Minced Ginger

1 tbsp Wholegrain Mustard

Instructions:

  1. In a medium pot bring some water to a boil and soft boil an egg (7 minutes for the perfect soft boil)

  2. Salt and pepper the steak (use a lot) and cook to your liking. Let it rest for 5 minutes.

  3. While it’s resting you can chop the lettuce, tomato (salt your tomatoes), capsicum, cucumber, red onion and apple. Mix all of the dressing ingredients together and adjust to taste. Add in a couple tbsp of dressing and toss salad.

  4. Plate salad then add the steak, scatter the avocado, cashews and crispy noodles.

  5. Then slice egg and place on top and sprinkle over chives/spring onions.
